My name is Wilderley Mauricette, born in Haiti, and moved to the states at the age of 8 years old. After doing theatre for two years I found my love for filmmaking. So I applied to film school and got rejected. so I decided to establish my own filming/production company (Mauricette Pictures) because I was desired to be a filmmaker, director, and screenwriter after doing live stage theater. I’ve made over 40 short films and completed my first feature film (Monopoly Money) which was part of the Sarasota Film Featival in March of 2022. After making a few films under my production company, I was accepted in film school. Traveling is a hobby of mine and one day I hope to travel, make films, and bring different emotions out of people while making a major impact and motivating young moguls like myself. Thank you so much for taking an interest of my story. Hoping to hear back soon.
