Alex Kopnick created his own degree in "Directing and Producing for Theatre and Film" at Indiana University and is currently on a leave of absence from an MFA in Film and Television Production at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Alex took this leave of absence at the end of his first semester to move across the country and work for the producers of Hamilton on Broadway. Pushing Buttons was Alex's final short film at LMU before this change, and is based on a song he sang at summer camp growing up. Alex is driven by his passion for theatre and film because he believes that "Art inspires empathy and empathy denies ignorance."
